dsm-firmenich Regional Procurement Manager, APAC in Shanghai, China

This position take responsibility of OU level procurement performance in order to manage 3rd party material at optimal cost, quality and service level.

Define regional category strategy by leading local team for implementing at OU and local level of APAC as to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).

Supporting GAPAC Procurement Head for optimization and development of purchasing projects and new WOW/process across OUs/countries of GAPAC with deep diving into the synergy opportunities by purchasing spend analysis and reports.

Ensure contract implementation in a way that optimizes contracts in view of DSMF compliance policies and continuously improve supplier performance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Contribute actively to Business Purchasing Plan by developing and implementing saving opportunities. Report status of saving pipelines on a regular basis

• Support the regional/local premix buyers and be accountable for cross-functional team management within the spend area responsibility

• Monitor the strategy implementation of the assigned lead purchasing products or categories, develop and manage relationship with strategic suppliers and track their performance

• Oversee the development of projects and execution of strategies by tracking forecasted vs actual savings and manage collaboration for knowledge sharing and proper communication with internal stakeholders

• Gives guidance and monitor the local procurement team’s exchange session with local stakeholders and key bz stakeholders at OU level on a monthly/quarterly basis about 3rd party raw materials’ marketing insights as holistic reference for Premix costing

• Coordinate cooperation with Legal Department (in terms of providing Purchasing Processes in accordance with law and DSM regulations)

You bring

• Substantial professional experience (min. 5yrs) in the same functional domain or other senior management positions, working at international level.

• Purchasing processes (strategic) in business-to-business context

• Advanced qualifications in commercial, business administration, financial, or other relevant discipline.• Recognized qualification/experience in Purchasing is an asset.• Good command of English language is obligatory.• Expert on data analysis/graph reporting skill and presentation use and SAP system as working tools
