With a global impact across numerous functions, this is an opportunity to set the future food strategy across all major categories. Focus will be in working with the innovation, commercial, and operations teams to set and guide execution of the next strategic cycle. Collaborating with the creation, regulatory, sustainability, and consumer insights teams you will design the path to regionally relevant consumer centric TASTE portfolio and industry differentiating tools. Replacing the incumbent, who has been promoted, this is also a moment to shape the role as part of the larger dsm-firmenich organisation. Position is hybrid, based out of Princeton, NJ in the US and could also be Europe, for the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities
“Where to Play”: anticipate industry needs through market analysis, trends, and consumer understanding.
“How to Win”: identify and prioritise growth focus areas to differentiate vs competition
“Route to Market”: build solid market relevance through alignment with global and regional stakeholders.
M&A: propose, support, and critically evaluate the technical validity of the partnerships and M&A targets.
“Knowledge Transfer”: ensure a broader deeper Savoury understanding and provide the tools to do so.

You bring
15+ years of food, flavour or ingredient industry in commercial and/or strategical roles
Strong understanding of Savoury as a segment and the key categories globally
Appreciation of flavour technology and where can dsm-firmenich differentiate.
Track record of data-based decisions for strategy setting and execution
International experience and able to work in a matrix environment with technical and business leaders.
Full English fluency, other languages a bonus
