This role goes “beyond” compliance. With your hands-on mentality and compliance skills, you will contribute and oversee the reporting process from front to end on how the business transactions end up in the VAT reporting. As part of your daily work, you will need to ensure the timely, complete and accurate submission of VAT returns, ESL, Intrastat, SAF-T and similar filings to the tax authorities in the EMEA region.

As a Senior VAT Operations Analyst, you will manage internal and external stakeholders, liaise directly with tax authorities during audits, and have a close relationship with Group Taxation's Indirect Tax Managers.

As a decision maker, you'll be able to think critically, suggest changes and solve problems, building your profile within the growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and secure timely filing of Indirect Tax related reporting to tax authorities via OneSource (Domestic VAT returns, Sales and Purchase listings, Intrastat reporting, SAF-T filings (and other e-reporting requirements).

• Manage tax audits, and ensure management reporting thereof.

• Continuously collaborate with Indirect tax team on findings, challenges and changes.

• Secure follow-up activities on non-compliant transactions and/or processes.

• Drive process improvements and automation (e.g. through VAT compliance reporting solutions/Celonis).

• Actively communicate with and manage external tax advisors.

• Support projects from an Indirect tax compliance perspective (e.g. new businesses set-up, legislative changes, automation, Tax/VAT master data elements etc.).

• Develop, implement and execute new solid preventive and detective controls as part of Company’s Tax Control Framework.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Based on your experience, we offer a competitive base salary ranging from € 66,505to € € 95,007 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month). Additional benefits include:

YOU BRING

• HBO or University degree in Finance (Accounting) and/or Taxation and several years of relevant experience with Indirect tax compliance in EMEA.

• You have a strong VAT accounting background and have worked in an international, preferably in-house environment.

• Very good working knowledge of SAP (ECC), OneSource tool is a strong advantage.

• Excellent analytical- and communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.

• You are both a team player and a self-starter who is able to work effectively and independently.

• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and diligent in analyzing tax data

• Innovative mindset and able to understand complex technical VAT advice, as well as the ability to connect the dots between the compliance processes and (ERP)-systems and tools.

• Have the ability and desire to drive process improvements and automation.

• Fluent in English, while other European language is considered a plus (Polish, French or German.
